The Viljandi Lake Race training run brought runners onto the course and the winner's stone was unveiled.

On April 14, the traditional Ploughing Day training run took place, bringing a large number of running enthusiasts to Lake Viljandi. In a pleasant spring atmosphere, the lake running course was run at a leisurely pace, preparing for the upcoming big race.
The training run also included a festive moment when the winner's stone of last year's winner, Tiidrek Nurme, was unveiled in the Viljandi Lake Race winners' park. The symbolic stone will mark his achievement and add dignified continuity to the long-standing tradition of the race.
The cover was removed from the winner's stone by the race's main organizer, Mati Jürisson, and Arvo Asu, who is one of the masters who has carved the names of the winners into stones since the winners' park was opened in 1989 in honor of the 60th anniversary race.
According to Asu, he has now decided to draw a line under this work and the organizers are very grateful to him for helping to do this important and specific work.
The Künnipäev training run has become an important part of the run before the big race, offering an opportunity to experience the course, meet other exercise enthusiasts, and gain motivation before the most anticipated running event of the season.
